Classic
Single fibers of .18mm diameter or below
Angel/Wet
Handmade "closed fans" or spikes using .03-.07mm diameter.
Lash Lift
Traditional, LVL, Keratin, or Korean lash lift with optional tint.
Russian Volume
Handmade fans using .05, .06, or .07mm diameter
Mega Volume
Handmade fans using .02, .03, or .04mm diameter
Subtle Color
Any type of set (classic, volume, spikes etc as long as it is handmade) using subtle color lash extensions, not vivids. Colors used should complement the model's features.
Ombre
Vertical or horizontal gradients focusing on seamless blends between each color. Browns, subtle color, vivids etc are all acceptable. Any fans or spikes must be handmade.
Extreme Vivids: Freestyle
3+ colors with intricate layouts. Any fans or spikes must be handmade. Intentional assymmetry, colorblocking, etc are acceptable. Add-ons like glitter, decals, etc are not permitted in this category and the styling should be strictly comprised of color extensions, layouts, and mappings.
Avant Garde
This is the only themed category at Lash Boss Battle. This year the theme is Wicked (The musical/movie)! Lashes should have 3+ colors with intricate layouts. Any fans or spikes must be handmade.. Intentional assymmetry, colorblocking, etc are all acceptable. Glitter, tinsel, decals, etc are all acceptable. Involves makeup & hair. Costuming is optional but encouraged.

Lash Boss Battle Rules
Judging
Blind Judging: Judging will take place in a separate room to give competitors time for clean up and allow the next category to set up. Judging can take up to one hour, so if you'd like to meet your model after judging, please keep this in mind.
Timing: You can arrive up to 15 minutes prior to your scheduled category for set up, and can stay up to 15 minutes after your category has ended to gather your supplies from your station. Your models will be judged in a separate room. Breaks for snacks or the restroom are allowed, but the time will continue to elapse.
Room Environment + Provided Supplies
No Assistants or Guests: To maintain fairness and focus, the lashing floor will be closed to guests, assistants, or friends. Please keep in mind our own photographer and social media team will be in the lash room during the competition.
You are required to bring your lash supplies including lashes, tweezers, adhesive, UV lamps, etc. We will only supply the bed by Aven Designs, chair, and a Cosmoglo Light for each competitor. Tables will be available for your belongings.
We will have power outlets for any UV lash artists who need to plug in their own light.
The competition space will be quiet, with only our social media team present. Competitors should keep chatting with their models to a minimum and may use headphones to help with concentration.
Artistry and Styling
Each category will have guidelines and criteria that the judges will be looking for. These will be shared with each registered competitor with 48 hours of registration.
Prizes and Media Coverage
Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category will receive a trophy and certificate. Additional sponsor prizes will be announced as confirmed.
Photos & Videos: Summit Social Squad will capture moments for social media (posted after winners are announced). All competitors will receive access to event photos and videos afterward.
You are welcome to capture your own content as well. We will have a backdrop available both inside and outside of the competition area for your use.
Models
You are required to provide your own model. Please ensure that your model arrives on time and does not bring any other guests as this is a closed competition.

This is a closed competition with blind judging. Do not share your model until after the awards ceremony. Judging will take place in a separate room and can take up to one hour.
